A source told Campaign Asia-Pacific that the client called the pitch on short notice in December and indicated that it wanted to launch some “big bang” campaigns in 2014.

McCann and DBS remain in discussion on the contract, but sources said the agency will handle the majority of the client's creative business including branding, wealth management and consumer banking. McCann handles MasterCard globally.

In August 2010, DBS appointed Tribal Worldwide as its creative AOR in Singapore and Hong Kong. A DDB spokesperson confirmed today that Tribal Worldwide Hong Kong stopped working with DBS last December. The agency continues to work on the DBS account in Singapore.

In July 2013, DBS Bank appointed Prashant Agarwal as senior vice-president of marketing. In October, it launched its new Black world MasterCard, hiring local celebrity Louis Koo as its brand ambassador.
