McCann Beijing wins Haier's Shanghai World Expo creative assignments

BEIJING - McCann Beijing has won Haier's Shanghai World Expo's creative assignment, after pitching against incumbent DraftFCB and one undisclosed agency.

Haier is currently sponsoring the Pavilions of China Shangdong, the USA, Italy and New Zealand at the Shanghai World Expo.

McCann Beijing will kick start the nation-wide above-the-line marketing campaign within a tight timeline, which includes TV, print and OOH campaigns for the Expo period between May and October.

Previously, McCann Beijing's team crafted a successful integrated campaign for UPS at the Beijing Olympics.

The Shanghai World Expo with the theme ‘Better City, Better Life' will commence in two weeks’ time, and signifies Shanghai’s new status in the 21st Century as a major economic and cultural centre.
