MasterCard appoints head of marketing

SINGAPORE – MasterCard Worldwide has named Debbie Goldingham as the head of marketing for Southeast Asia.

Her appointment will take effect in early November, driving the division’s marketing priorities which include issuer marketing, merchant marketing, and consumer marketing.

She will be tasked for developing the marketing communications strategy and building the MasterCard brand across Southeast Asia. She will spearhead customer focused strategies across the sub-region as well as researching and analysing strategic opportunities for MasterCard to grow its brand.

Matthew Driver, division president, Southeast Asia at MasterCard Worldwide, said, “I am pleased about the appointment of Debbie to lead our marketing team; she brings a wealth of experience into the role in driving key marketing programs across the region. She will lead a very talented team, who are dedicated and well-positioned to advance the MasterCard brand further in Asia.”

Goldingham joined MasterCard in 2003 in Hong Kong as principal regional consultant with MasterCard Advisors. She took on the role of vice president, business development in 2005.

She then joined the regional marketing team in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) in 2006 to manage its customer marketing function.

In her regional customer marketing role, she oversaw the development and implementation of APMEA regional marketing asset platform. She also managed and launched the first pan-regional travel micro-site for global accounts to drive cross border marketing programmes across seven markets.
