With the win, the agency will be responsible for providing PR, strategic counsel, and planning and implementation activities for the British retail company in one of its priority markets.

In addition, Eastwei MSL China will be tasked with engaging consumers creatively via seasonal and themed communications campaigns to promote Marks & Spencer's positioning towards the Chinese market.

Marks & Spencer opened its first China store in 2008 and currently has four stores in Shanghai.

“We are delighted to work with Marks & Spencer, a growing brand in the Shanghai market. We look forward to supporting their business in this key region,' remarked Par Uhlin, managing director of Eastwei MSL China.

Eastwei MSL China also works with other firms in the retail sector such as Ikea, Watsons and Metro.
