Man Shu Sum rejoins MediaCorp as MD of Raintree Pictures

SINGAPORE - Man Shu Sum (pictured) has rejoined MediaCorp as managing director of MediaCorp Raintree Pictures.

Man was previously chief executive of Mark Burnett Productions Asia which he joined in March 2008 following a three-year stint at the Media Development Authority (MDA) of Singapore.

An industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in Asia’s media industry, Man has held senior management positions in the then Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS) and MediaWorks Singapore.

MediaCorp CEO Lucas Chow, said: "I am pleased to welcome Man back to MediaCorp. Man’s experience in and knowledge of the international film industry will be a boon to Raintree Pictures as it gears up for its next phase of development. I am confident that Man will help to further expand our content business and international footprint, as we strive to achieve our vision of being Asia’s top media company."

Man added: “These are exciting times for the local film industry and it is my hope that I can continue to develop the growth of quality made-by-Singapore content for local and global viewers.”

Man will join MediaCorp in December and will report to Lucas Chow.
