KUALA LUMPUR – Homegrown jewellery retailer Poh Kong is looking to shake off its high-street image by opening a new flagship store at Pavilion KL. The high-end mall was also the venue for a Ms Glamour pageant, and the unveiling of the Poh Kong '35 Shining Years' anniversary logo and promotion.

Poh Kong Jewellers officially launched the Poh Kong Gallery at high-end shopping mall Pavilion, KL, established to cater to customers’ increasingly sophisticated tastes. The Gallery carries well-known international jewellery brands such as Schoeffel and Luca Carati, as well as Poh Kong’s own collection of diamonds and gems.

The Ms Poh Kong Glamour competition is an annual pre-pageant event in the run-up to Ms Tourism International. The winner, judged on product presentation, poise and beauty, also took home jewellery worth RM10,000 (US$ 3,200)

The Poh Kong '35 Shining Years' anniversary logo was unveiled, to announce its 35th Anniversary.  The campaign, which runs for 35 weeks from 29 December 2010 to 31 August 2011, offers customers a RM35 (US$11) cash voucher for every RM350 (US$110) spent on diamonds and gems.

Dato’ Eddie Choon said, “This is a part of our Customer Rewards Programme, in conjunction with our anniversary celebration, to reward and thank our customers for supporting us all these years.  Without them, we would not have become one of the most established and trusted brands in Malaysia.”
