Lowe China bags local OTC brand 999's creative business

The scope of work for Lowe China will mainly be to develop a new campaign for 999’s star product Weitai 999 Granules (a type of gastrointestinal medicine), said Fanny Yum, managing director of Lowe China.

Established in 1999, 999 was ranked 44th in BrandZ's Top 50 Most Valuable Chinese Brands 2013, the third heathcare company in the list after competitors Yunnan Baiyao and Tong Ren Tang.

Brand manager Zi Ludong said the company selected Lowe over the undisclosed other agencies in the pitch because of its out-of-the-box creative ideas and how the team "clearly understands the target consumer".
