Lisa Thompson steps up as managing parter for OMD China

SHANGHAI - Lisa Thompson has been promoted to the newly created managing partner, business development role at OMD China, with immediate effect.

She relocates from OMD Melbourne where she was business director from 2007 until early this year.

In her new role at OMD's Shanghai office, Thompson will report to Siew Ping Lim, CEO of OMD China, and will be charged with leading the business development team, enhancing client relationships and establishing best practices in client management.

“China is one of the most interesting and promising media markets in the world and I look forward to working closely with Lisa to expand OMD’s footprint in China,” said Lim, “Lisa’s experience in delivering collaborative business solutions and measurement will be of immense value to our new and existing clients.”

“It is an exciting role in an exciting market. The media landscape is changing rapidly in China making it more vibrant and dynamic than ever,” added Thompson.

Reported in January, the agency promoted Arlene Ang to MD of its Beijing office and Cherrie Ngai to group business director of its Shanghai office.

Meanwhile, OMD Hong Kong promoted Roid Sin from general manager to CEO within five months.
