Lashou.com leads the group buying rankings in China: Hitwise

CHINA - Recent statistics from Experian Hitwise China show that Lashou now ranks highest among group buying sites in overall website traffic.

10.65 per cent of traffic share for the period between 31 July and 6 August 2011 went to Lashou, while Taobao's group buying site Ju Hua Suan occupied second place with 9.01 per cent. Third in the rankings was Meituan with 7.88 per cent.

Lashou, one of several Groupon clones in China, received US$110 million in funding in April this year from London-based Milestone Capital Partners and Swiss company Richemont for its expansion plans.

Notably, Gaopeng, a joint group-buying venture of Groupon and Tencent, was not in the top ten list.
