KFC calls for 'all-new agency' media pitch

KUALA LUMPUR – KFC Malaysia, which recently shifted its creative duties to BBDO/Proximity, has called for an 'all-new agency' media pitch.

KFC Malaysia has invited four agencies for its media pitch

The four agencies invited to the pitch were Mindshare, Trapper MPG, UM and Zenithmedia. It is unclear when the result will be announced.

Incumbent Carat was not invited to the pitch, a situation similar to that of McCann Erickson, which was not invited to pitch for the creative account of the fast food chain several months ago.

KFC’s creative account returned to BBDO/Proximity last month when it was appointed as the agency of record, responsible for the chain’s entire local creative remit, following a four-way pitch.

It will handle all of the brand's communications campaigns and marketing initiatives, replacing three-year incumbent McCann Erickson, which contract expired end of last month.

Ogilvy & Mather, Grey Malaysia, and Lowe & Partners were among the agencies shortlisted for the final round.
