Jack Morton partners with FIBA Basketball World Cup

Brand experience agency Jack Morton has joined forces with FIBA Basketball World Cup to build activations for its global trophy tour. The tour – which sets off this month – will bring the newly-designed golden trophy to fans across 24 countries and five continents.

During the tour, Jack Morton will create experiences for fans to interact with the trophy. On top of that, the tour will aim to capture fans cheering for their national team to create the world’s largest digital video montage of cheering fans. This fan activation will tour across eight key cities including Milan, Paris, Madrid, New York, Los Angeles, Manila, Tokyo and Moscow. Fans will get to share their cheering videos online and then search for themselves in the montage.

The agency will also design eight World Cup Houses across China which will be open for two weeks prior to the tournaments in each of the host cities and will include a mini FIBA showroom, cheering booths, a FIBA history wall and fan lounge, as well as various interactive activities to engage fans.

The World Cup will take place in China across eight cities – Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Foshan, Wuhan, Nanjing, Shanghai and Beijing – for the first time. The tournament will run from August 31 to September 15.
