HONG KONG - Public relations agency Impactasia has been acquired by Cohn & Wolfe, and merged with the company's Beijing and Shanghai offices.

Impactasia folded into Cohn & Wolfe's Greater China operations

Subject to regulatory approval, the deal will give Cohn & Wolfe a Hong Kong presence while tripling its size for it to become one of Greater China’s more prominent agencies.

The merged agency, Cohn & Wolfe-impactasia, will have more than 80 professionals and will work with domestic, regional and international brands such as Rolls Royce, Hotels.com, Guinness, Pernod Ricard, MGM Hospitality, Robert Half International, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Sofitel Luxury Hotels.

“This acquisition will position Cohn & Wolfe very well to meet increasing client demands for support in Greater China and to capitalise on opportunities across the region," Donna Imperato, chief executive officer of Cohn & Wolfe said.

Leading the merged entity are Susan Field and Sarah Woodhouse, who are based in Hong Kong and who will retain their former positions as CEO and Group MD respectively and report to Imperato based in New York.

Woodhouse commented, "Cohn & Wolfe embodies the same core values as impactasia, with its nimble, energetic, no-nonsense attitude".
