Hyatt on the Bund, part of the Grand Hyatt portfolio, is located at the northern end of the legendary Bund. To maximise its prime location on the western banks of the Huangpu River, the cutting-edge hotel has been angled so that most of the rooms benefit from a spectacular view of either the historical architecture down The Bund or modern skyscraper-lined Pudong across the river.

The hotel also has convenient access to Shanghai International Convention Centre via Xinjian Road Tunnel within 10 minutes, and is within five-minute walking distance of the International Cruise Terminal station of line 12 of the subway.

The hotel offers groups a wide range of dining selections, including the signature four-storey stylish drinking and dining destination—VUE; the international buffet restaurant—Aroma, featuring live cooking stations rustling up everything from fresh pizza to Teppanyaki to desserts; the European-style Tea Room serving specialty blended teas from around the world, as well as pastries and authentic hand-made Shanghainese dim sum; and the traditional Xindalu-China Kitchen, focusing on authentic Chinese regional dishes, such as Peking Duck and the clay pot-baked Beggar’s Chicken.

The hotel is equipped with modern conference facilities that cater to every business need. A sprawling 1,864sqm of space, with the capacity to cater to 1,500 people, is dedicated to meeting and function facilities. There are 2 ballrooms with outdoor terraces that have a capacity of 700 and 300 respectively (theatre-style), and a 29sqm LED screen is positioned in the Grand Ballroom to enhance presentations. The circular Glasshouse with an outdoor courtyard is also available for events, as well as nine smaller versatile rooms equipped with wireless broadband Internet access and the latest audio-visual and conferencing equipment.

All these function spaces benefit from natural daylight, making them conducive to meetings, conferences and training sessions. Guests staying on the Bund Club executive floors also have the exclusive use of three Bund Club boardrooms. Furthermore, the spacious lower lobby and lobby can easily transform into any number of custom-made theme party scenes. The salon-style Tea Room is an ideal venue for a cocktail party, small conference or personalised banquet. Additionally, the hotel is also capable of providing off-site event services.

A 3,000-sqm recreational area with wellness facilities including a luxurious spa, extensive fitness centre, and 25-m indoor swimming pool gives guests the chance to wash off the stress of the day, while the Yuan Spa features wood-lined treatment rooms—some with double-glass walls with water running between the panes—so that guests can both see and hear running water while indulging in water-based oriental treatments.

Located on the top floor of the hotel, the 300-sqm, two-storey Chairman Suite features a separate sitting area, an in-room bar and a 100-sqm rooftop terrace with an outdoor jetted tub, all overlooking Shanghai’s stunning skyline of the Bund and Lujiazui—perfect for private and small high-end events.
