ASIA-PACIFIC - Hill+Knowlton Stratgies has welcomed back Alec Peck as the PR agency’s new regional issues and crisis lead.

Peck previously headed up H+K’s offices in the Middle East and was also director of corporate communications at Gulf Air. He was most recently with Gulf Business Machines in Bahrain.

Peck will advise H+K’s clients across the region on crisis preparedness, corporate reputation and issues management among other communications disciplines. He will report to Vivian Lines, APAC chairman, and Tim Luckett, global crisis lead.

“With more than 20 years of communications experience, I have seen the risk landscape change dramatically,” Peck said. “The effects of digitalisation and technological disruption pose fundamental challenges to many business models, exposing organisations and their employees more than ever before to the risk of a crisis. We have an incredibly robust approach to issues and crisis planning and I look forward to driving this with our clients to help them mitigate risk and reputational damage.”

Lines said: “We’re delighted to welcome Alec to the team. He becomes a critical member of our APAC leadership team at a time when protecting corporate reputation is front and centre of everything we do in an increasingly connected world.”

Luckett said: “This appointment really strengthens and consolidates our issues and crisis offer across the APAC region. As a proven crisis counselor over many years, Alec brings with him a wealth of relevant experience and having his presence in APAC will be incredibly valuable to our regional and global clients.”
