Spanning two days from 14 to 15 July, the inaugural MYOH event in Singapore will be held at the brand's store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre.

Customers attending the event can challenge their creativity and play designer by customising their own pair of Havaianas flip-flops. This includes mixing-and-matching soles, straps and decorative pins to create a pair of Havaianas of their own. The flip-flops will then be assembled and delivered instantly before their eyes.

MYOH events has amassed tremendous support in countries like Brazil, New York and London. In the Philippines, the event has become an annual one-week extravaganza anticipated by the media and Havaianistas nationwide.

“Since Havaianas launched its first standalone store in Singapore in 2009, we have undoubtedly grown and successfully established ourselves as a fashion staple of the nation, expanding to five stores in two years by 2011,” said Rachel Ang, marketing manager of Havaianas Singapore.

“In commemoration of the brand’s 50th anniversary this year, we believe it will be highly opportune to introduce the refreshing MYOH concept to fashionistas in Singapore. This unique and never-before experience will allow them to create their very own statement pieces and I’m confident that it will be a hit!”
