Grey Group promotes area director for Thailand, Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR - Grey Group has promoted Nicky Lim to area director for Malaysia and Thailand, with immediate effect.

Formerly the chief executive officer of Grey Group Malaysia, the newly created role will see Lim continue in charge of Grey Group Malaysia with added responsibility for Thailand, spearheading the Group's growth strategy in the market. 

He will continue to report to Nirvik Singh, chairman and CEO of Grey Group Asia-Pacific.

With 20 years' experience in the industry, Lim previously worked at McCann Worldgroup, Ogilvy & Mather and JWT in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Prior to joining Grey Group Malaysia in 2006, he spent over five years at Momentum Experiential Branding in Indonesia as general manager.

Singh noted that Grey Group Malaysia has grown exponentially under Nicky’s leadership, with a strong track record of driving growth and operational innovation. “His exceptional leadership, ability to attract high-profile talent and great business acumen is why we chose to promote him. I’m positive that under his leadership, we will make significant in-roads into the Thailand market.”

Lim said, “In my new capacity, I'll be working very hard to drive the Grey Group brand forward. Our global network, diverse capabilities and talented team members are more relevant than ever. My job will be to leverage all of these assets to create real business advantage for our clients.”

Among the clients Grey Group Malaysia are working with are GlaxoSmithKline, Procter & Gamble, Sara Lee, Abbott Nutrition, Maybank, American Express, Resorts World and U Mobile.
