Fitch makes multiple senior leadership changes

Across Asia-Pacific, Fitch has announced senior appointments, two of which hail from consulting backgrounds.

Taking over the role from Andrew Crombie, FITCH has appointed Landor's Simon Bell as its new managing director for Singapore.

WPP-owned retail and brand consultancy Fitch today changed its Asia-Pacific leadership structure, with two new appointments and one promotion.

Simon Bell has been appointed Fitch managing director in Singapore, replacing Andrew Crombie. This is his second stint with Fitch, having previously been strategy director in India from 2009 to 2011.

David Blair, Fitch global CEO, said: “I am very happy to be welcoming back Simon Bell to the Fitch network. He has extensive regional knowledge which he will apply to promoting the business across Southeast Asia.”

Fitch declined to comment on Crombie's departure from the agency. He joined as North and Southeast Asia CEO in March 2016.

In addition, Fitch's Hong Kong office has appointed Janice Siu as business director. Most recently an independent consultant, Siu was previously managing director at brand and communications agency, Brash. She will report into Hong Kong managing director Cally Williams.

"FItch has had a strong presence in Asia for a long time," Blair said. "With the acquisition of the Hong Kong studio last year, we are now one of the biggest brand and design consultancies in Asia."

Furthermore, Nikki Lin has been promoted to managing director of Fitch in China, based in Shanghai. Lin joined Fitch as general manager from Interbrand in early 2016, leading the China team and expanding Fitch's reputation and client base.

“Nikki has been the driving force behind our recent progress in China, and is building a strong team in Shanghai and Beijing to take full advantage of the opportunity we have in that market,” said Blair.

Appointments are effective immediately.
