Finnish VR expertise on display at Slush Tokyo

These VR glasses will let you see the past, present, and future of Helsinki's landscapes.

Finnish VR expertise on display at Slush Tokyo

Slush Tokyo, Japan’s biggest international tech and start-up event, will return on March 28 with a healthy representation of Finnish tech companies.

These companies will bring their knowhow to the "Coolest Tech Hub" stand at the event, and will provide experiential ideas and solutions in the fields of augmented and virtual reality.

Helsinki and Business Finland will also host an event that looks at how virtual expertise can be utilised in tourism marketing. Finnish virtual reality (VR) pioneers ZOAN will also brief attendees about VR technology and its role in destination marketing.

Attendees present at the event will be encouraged to try on ZOAN's VR glasses that can access interactive virtual models of Helsinki as far back as the Senate Square in the 1830s or the famed Northern Lights.

The tool also enables attendees to view visual information in real-time or experience Helsinki in the future.

Founded in Finland, Slush Tokyo is a start-up event that brings together investors, customers, and media. The agenda includes panels on topics such as the Indian start-up ecosystem and robotics innovation in Japan.
