EPS rolls out environmental marketing initiative in Hong Kong

The 'EPS I Do' campaign was first launched in 2008. Since then EPS has donated a total of HK$5 million (US$ 641,000) to Green Power, which in turned has planted about 2,000 tress in urban districts in Hong Kong.

The new EPS campaign, handled by Lowe, is launched today including a print ad and two new versions of a 20-sec TVC, featuring Hong Kong celebrities Jan Lamb and Charlene Tsoi as brand ambassadors. The TVCs will launch today and run until the end of July on TVB. The website also indicates where the actual address of the trees that have been planted since 2008.

Every time a consumer uses an EPS debit card, the company makes a donations to Green Power. The donations are used to plant trees to make Hong Kong greener and more eco-friendly.

"Unlike other credit card payment methods which emphasise saving points for rewards, the EPS campaign embraces a more meaningful and environmental corporate social responsibility initiative," said Anna Sin, account director at Lowe Hong Kong, the agency behind the creative concept.
