Splio is a 12-year-old French CRM-focused agency, with offices in Paris, Barcelona and São Paulo. It opened its first Asian office in Beijing two years ago, and last year started its Shanghai operation, which specialises in EDM and CRM campaigns.

Paget (pictured) will supervise a team of 25 in Beijing and Shanghai.

Splio China’s client portfolio includes L’Oreal, French ready-to-wear brand Etam and eLong, an online travel planning and hotel booking site in China, whose major competitor is Ctrip.com. The agency operates cosmetics e-commerce platform eSkin.com for L'Oreal, and will launch a second e-commerce platform for a clothing brand next week.

"With the power of social media, we are helping clients to track customers' social media behaviour and reward them in popular sites like Renren.com, Kaixin and Jiepang, among others," Paget said. Splio is intending to expand its e-commerce footprint in the region in the next year.

Paget has been in the internet industry in France since 1993 and and has more than 20 years of experience in digital marketing and communications. He moved to China from France in 2004. He has since been in management roles such as group head at Avantgarde Shanghai.

Paget also worked for F-Emotion as MD when it started in China, and helped opened the Korean and Beijing branch offices.
