Eleven agencies to pitch for Pertamina creative

JAKARTA - State oil and gas firm Pertamina is reported to have invited 11 eleven creative agencies to pitch for the retail business account

Eleven agencies to pitch for Pertamina creative
Agencies reported to have been invited include Saatchi Lab, Cabe Rawit, Grey Advertising, Fortune, BBDO, The Partner, Leo Burnett, Matari, Publicis, Bates141 and incumbent Ogilvy & Mather.

Reports suggest that the selected agency will work on spreading awareness about Pasti Pas, a certification programme that Pertamina launched in 2007 to improve the services of petrol stations leased to petrol owners. Last year the oil company launched a campaign to educate the station owners with a view to them signing up to Pasti Pas.

Pertamina’s gas stations offer fuel products including Gasoline, Bio Pertamax, Pertamax Plus, Bio Solar, Pertamina Dex and Vigas. Of the total of 4,300 Pertamina stations only 1,000 have met certification standards

The company’s gas stations have been focusing on high service standards in the face of competition from Shell, which has managed to open 19 high-end stations in the country since 2006.
