BEIJING - DraftFCB China has won three new accounts this month, including US paint brand Valspar, which acquired Huarun Paint in China, Kunlun Mountain Mineral Water and COFCO’s Fulinmen cooking oil and food. Collectively, the creative assignments are worth over US$3 million.

A source close to the news revealed that Valspar got in touch with DraftFCB China following a recommendation by its Chicago office. The China office underwent a series of credentials, creative and strategic presentations before securing the contract.

For the Kunlun Mountain Mineral Water account, one of the leading brands in Beijing, DraftFCB pitched against Lowe and ADK two weeks ago.

Earlier this year, DraftFCB Beijing also won the account for Mengniu’s premium milk brand Telunsu.

According to the source, DraftFCB is looking to expand its Beijing office after these wins. The office was closed two years ago after its long-term account Kraft was moved to Shanghai.
