Offering specialist services in advertising, media, out-of-home (OOH) expertise, digital, trade and retail marketing services, activation and marketing PR, this new partnership comes after DMB and DDB Worldwide officially split in Indonesia last Monday (24 October) after a nine year partnership.

Daya Maha Berkarya has three brands, namely Advis, Brainstorm and Beyond, while DDB Worldwide is part of Omnicom Group.

‘Nava’ means ‘new, fresh and modern’ in the Sanskrit language. The Indonesia-based group is headed by the decade-long management team of David Wibowo, Brian Estes and Maneha Widarso, who are now implementing plans for a "new era of growth” for the group.

Wibowo and Estes were the president director and director of corporate affairs, respectively, for DDB Indonesia before the split.

Wibowo said the marketing and communications services have seen many changes, with the most recent paradigm shift being in digital and online. “We embrace that change, and are now restructuring our services to be the most brand experience-focused, entrepreneurial group in Indonesia. We plan to make some exciting announcements in the near future.”

Commenting on the new venture, Estes said, “We look forward to achieving our mission to work with other best-in-class, innovative brands that provide exceptional ideas and services, currently unavailable in the market.”

Widarso, meanwhile, said the new group can leverage on its strong foundation in the country. “We’ve built a uniquely strong foundation in Indonesia that includes offices around the country. We can now leverage on this with our other specialist services, whether bundled or unbundled, to deliver truly outstanding brand experiences with our clients.”
