Dentsu appoints new representative director

TOKYO – Dentsu has named Tadashi Ishii as its new representative director, replacing Tatsuyoshi Takashima.

Ishii is currently Dentsu’s director and executive vice-president. Takashima will assume the role of chairman of the agency.

According to Dentsu, the move is part of a five-year management reform plan, ‘Dentsu Innovation 2013’, which aims to strengthen overseas and digital capabilities.

Ishii has been with Dentsu since 1973. He became a member of the board in 2006 and was named director and executive vice-president in 2009.
