Wong Kian-fong, the agency’s MD, told Campaign Asia-Pacific that the agency started working on the account in February.

Wong said that he could not disclose the upcoming creative work at this stage, but pointed out the brand has little social-media presence in China at the moment, even though it has extensive retail presence in major cities.

Deep Focus/Flipscript's current clients include Starbucks, Bally, Alibaba’s e-commerce site Tmall, Moncler, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tourism Australia and Crocs.

Wong added that the agency is expanding its team to Engine Group's Hong Kong office in the next couple of months to better serve clients like Crocs and Bally that have their regional offices in Hong Kong, as well as new business.

According to the statement from the company’s website, The Engine Group is the UK’s largest privately owned communications group in China, where they have four businesses including Calling Brands (branding consultancy),  Deep Focus/FlipScript, DNA (a video/film production house) and MHP Hong Kong (formerly PR agency The Consultancy).

Ken Koo, president of Calling China, added that they would have rapid expansion plan in 2014, and will also bring Fuel, its data analytics agency  in UK to Shanghai very soon.
