At present, BoC Insurance has branches in 19 provinces and municipalities across China. BoC Insurance was initially designated to operate as a nationwide property insurance company.

DDB was appointed as creative agency-of-record for Bank of China in Hong Kong in August 2009 after a two-round pitch, which included WE Marketing, DraftFCB and McCann Worldgroup.
