Columbus wins Lafarge in Malaysia

DAN-owned digital agency will handle construction firm’s digital media work.

Columbus wins Lafarge in Malaysia

Columbus Malaysia, a unit of Dentsu Aegis Network, was named digital agency of record for Lafarge, effective immediately.

The construction company enlisted Columbus Malaysia’s services earlier this year to expand its digital presence. Now as agency of record, Columbus is responsible for social media management, digital media planning and buying, and website development.

“This is the first-time ever Lafarge has appointed a digital marketing agency and we are honoured to be given this opportunity to grow their business through digital,” said Abdullah Alkury, managing director of Columbus Malaysia.

Tolga Pekel, vice president of marketing and pricing at Lafarge Malaysia, said after 60 years in Malaysia, Lafarge is “diversifying and expanding into the consumer segment. So we are looking into refreshing the brand as well to connect with the masses.”
