Coca-Cola’s Shakir Moin promoted to head of marketing in Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE – The Coca-Cola Company Asia Pacific has named Shakir Moin as head of marketing for Southeast Asia.

Moin will relocate to Bangkok from Manila, where he was Pacific group director for Coca-Cola Pacific.

In his previous role, Moin supported strategy and execution for the Coca-Cola trademark for over 17 countries, from Japan and China to Australia-New Zealand. He also headed marketing for the Coca-Cola Company in the Philippines.

Before that assignment, Moin was the general manager for Coca-Cola Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei. He first joined Coca-Cola in 1996 as a brand manager. Since then, he has successfully managed a number of assignments based in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore. Under his leadership, Moin’s team won the coveted Coca-Cola Worldwide 'Marketing excellence award' twice.
