Korea’s largest marketing agency says this is a move aimed at jump-starting its business activity in the Southeast Asia market.

Well-known in Southeast Asia and European advertising circles and armed with 17 years of experience, Swinton was a pillar behind McCann Erickson’s development internationally. He spent a total of 11 years with McCann Erickson in Sydney, Saigon, UK and Frankfurt. In 2006, he moved to Publicis Mojo Sydney, where he served as director for the P&G and Nestle Purina accounts. His career spans across regional and international brands, including P&G, Nestle in Australia, Opel in Germany, GM in the UK and Coca-Cola in Vietnam.

Prior to joining Cheil, Keun Ho Kim was group account director at Ogilvy & Mather, based in the Sydney office overlooking the IBM account. He also worked at the Ogilvy & Mather offices in Sydney and Seoul for eight years, where his last post was managing director.  Kim worked as a marketing communications consultant for numerous clients, including IBM, Motorola and Kia Motors, both regionally and locally. Kim will report to Andrew Swinton and SJ Kim, the Singapore-based president of Cheil Southeast Asia.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Andrew and Keun Ho on board to lead the growth of Cheil Australia. With Andrew and Keun Ho’s knowledge and experience in local leadership, there will be huge potential to see Cheil Australia grow into a top-tier agency,” says Kim.
