Changi Airport names Tribal DDB as digital AOR

SINGAPORE - The Changi Airport Group has named Tribal DDB as its digital agency-of-record to handle its online marketing and communications for Changi Airport.

Changi Airport names Tribal DDB as digital AOR
The appointment follows a tender process which was first called in late April. According to the tender document, the digital AOR will be appointed for 16 months and the scope of work includes developing a strategy for digital marketing, regular updating of the ChangiAirport.com website, brand positioning, plus developing and launching microsites.

In early-April, Tribal DDB was first appointed for the redesign and maintenance of a new website for Changi Airport.

Before 1 July, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) was both the civil aviation regulator and operator of Changi Airport. Changi Airport then underwent a corporatisation exercise and CAAS was restructured.

As of 1 July, the corporatised entity, Changi Airport Group, came into existence to manage and operate Changi Airport and the Group will come under Temasek Holdings. The new CAAS continues its role to regulate and promote the civil aviation industry.

The CAAS is also currently holding a full-service pitch for a creative and media agency for Changi Airport.

The restructured CAAS and the Changi Airport Group aims to develop Changi as an aviation hub as the economic crisis takes it toll on air travel in this region and is expected to tap on new opportunities and growth once the global economy recovers.
