Casbaa installs new leadership team

HONG KONG – The Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (Casbaa) has appointed Christopher Slaughter as chief executive to replace Simon Twiston Davies, who is due to step down at the end of the year.

The organisation has also promoted John Medeiros to the role of chief policy officer and appointed Jill Grinda as executive vice-president. Medeiros will act as the senior government relations advisor to the board.

Twiston Davies will remain in his position and work alongside the new management team until 31 December.

Slaughter was formerly managing director of APV, a Hong Kong-based production company. Medeiros is a public policy expert who held senior roles in US embassies across the region and Europe prior to joining Casbaa. Grinda has been responsible for the launch and distribution of various international TV channels across Asia.
