Akers joins from Droga 5 as senior writer in Australia. During his two years at the agency, he created the 'Vanilla-Ice apology' work for Virgin Mobile and the Cannes gold winning digital campaign '4320' for V-Australia.

Prior to Droga 5, Akers spent time at BBH during a ten year stint in London agencies.

In addition to winning three Cannes Lions, Akers has also been recognised at One Show and D&AD.

“I’ve admired Ben’s work for years now and it was only a matter of time before we worked together. He has that rare combination of sharp creative ability and business suss which will be a great offering for our clients and agency network,” said GPY&R executive CD Julian Watt.

Joubert was named creative director at the agency's Sydney office after transferring from the Brisbane office in May last year.
