BBDO Malaysia wins Kapal Api

KUALA LUMPUR - Regional coffee brand Kapal Api, owned by Indonesian company Santos Jaya Abadi, has handed its creative account to BBDO Malaysia after a three-way pitch that included Grey and Krakatua.

Incumbent Lowe & Partners Malaysia, which has worked on the account since 2003, declined to participate in this pitch.

A family-owned coffee brand, Kapal Api started off as an unbranded coffee in Indonesia in 1927. The brand is a market leader in Indonesia and also has a presence in other Southeast Asian countries including Malaysia.
