BBDO Guerrero/Proximity Philippines promotes Brandie Tan and Tin Sanchez to joint ECDs
Tan and Sanchez, who were the team responsible for the agency’s highly awarded ‘Lola Techie’ campaign for Bayan Telecommunications at the recent AME Awards, will take over creative leadership from Simon Welsh who is returning to England to take up another role there.

Tan and Sanchez joined in 2008 as head of art and head of copy respectively. The pair were previously joint executive creative directors at Lowe Vietnam.

Last month Sanchez returned from a posting at Proximity Worldwide in London as part of the creative leadership transition plan.

On the appointments, Chris Thomas, chairman and CEO of BBDO Asia-Pacific, said: “Brandie and Tin have proven themselves to be one of the strongest creative teams in Asia-Pacific, not just in BBDO/Proximity, but in any agency network. We have been planning their succession for some time.”

He added: “Tin’s experience in London was part of that succession plan, and it has prepared her for the role she and Brandie are about to take at the helm of one of the region’s leading creative agencies.”

Concurrently, the Omnicom agency has also appointed Paul Anderson as creative director and head of art. He joins from BBH Asia-Pacific in Singapore.

David Guerrero, chairman and chief creative officer of BBDO Guerrero/Proximity Philippines, added: “Brandie and Tin are one of the few teams in the region to have won gold this year in both regional effectiveness award shows and creative award shows. This perfectly summarizes our ambition to demonstrate that the same work can win both.”

He added: “Quite simply our aim is to become the leading agency in executing this vision for both local and international clients and Brandie and Tin’s creative leadership will be instrumental in continuing to deliver this. Paul is also a perfect complement to our team, bringing with him experience from some of the world’s most highly recognized creative agencies and an impressive body of work.”
