The agency has not yet named her replacement. Chen did not respond to a request for official comment, but will work until September this year, after which Shenan Chuang, CEO of O&M Greater China, will fill in.

Chen was promoted to president of OgilvyOne China in September 2011, when she replaced Chris Reitermann.

With OgilvyOne since 2000, Chen was also managing director of OgilvyOne Beijing for two and a half years.

Her first digital job, in 1996, was with IHW.com, one of the first commercial internet service providers in China.

She joined China.com as marketing manager in 1998 and went on to be the first employee at ChinaRen.com.
