Connor was on board in mid-August, and  is responsible for spearheading the company's social media division across the region, including markets in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The division will offer social solutions, encompassing Facebook social ads optimisation, content-seeding distribution network, and advertising opportunities with social apps and games.

Before joining Aktiv Digital, Connor worked for UK-based online sales company Ad2One as a director for eight years. There, he was responsible for running Ad2One’s Southeast Asia operation as well as launching the Australian office. Previous to his time in Asia-Pacific, he managed sales across sub divisions of the company in Europe.

Aktiv Digital CEO, Matt Sutton told Campaign that Connor's appointment demonstrates its commitment to bringing together the best talent this digital market has to offer.

The company has also hired Fabien Bouhier as senior account manager and Amarpal Singh as marketing manager, Bouhier previously worked for Aktiv Digital's China office, while Singh was with Show Nearby, a locally-based service (LBS) provider in Singapore. Both commenced their new jobs this month.

Reported in June, Komli Media announced the acquisition of Aktiv Digital. The two parties signed the contract on 1 June.
