Absolut China appoints Nurun as digital AOR

SHANGHAI - Pernod Ricard has appointed Nurun China as Absolut Vodka's digital agency in the mainland, shifting its account from Digitas.

The agency will manage the account, which includes digital strategy, execution of online campaigns, media planning and analytics, for the remainder of 2009 and 2010, with the first campaign expected to debut in August.

Digitas won Absolut’s Chinese business from Agency.com in January last year. At the time, a Digitas source said Absolut was “beginning to take digital seriously in China” and that the company would bolster its marketing efforts on the platform.
