In this new ad destined for global play, actor Kit Harington intones William Blake's poem The Tyger while wending his way through a primieval forest in Infiniti's Q60 coupe.
The 60-second film is playing in US cinemas and through the brand's social channels. The actor will also appear in a 30-second TVC that will launch in the US on 8 August and then proceed to other markets when the car becomes available there.
The campaign, by Crispin Porter + Bogusky, also includes print ads and two forthcoming online films featuring "audio engineer and music technologist" Young Guru and sneaker designer Sophia Chang.
Ad Nut doesn't have HBO (why would Ad Nut waste time on a channel with no ads?), and so had to Google to figure out who Harington is. But the brand appears to believe he has wider appeal than its previous ambassador, F1 racer Sebastian Vettel.
With Harington's reading of Blake, and especially his "what just happened?" reaction shot at the end, the ad rises slightly above the bog-standard, car-on-a-deserted-winding-road ad it would otherwise be.
