Google Thailand first to roll out Chrome campaign

THAILAND - Google Thailand is the first international market to launch its integrated online and offline campaign for Google Chrome with stories from local web heroes.

The ‘The web is what you make it' campaign features stories showing how anybody can do anything when paired with the power of the web used to its potential. They celebrate the heroes of the web, from entertainment superstars to fathers and daughters.

The first story is about Nong Nim and her dad, Narin, showing how a father can use the web to capture the precious moments of his daughter’s life and through his creativity, give her a gift that lasts forever.

The second video tells of Wootinun Sung-Ong, the owner of Muay Thai Stuff. It demonstrates how his childhood passion for Thailand’s most famous sport grew into a successful online business that is serving customers and spreading the art of Muay Thau around the world.

Khun Pornthip Kongchun, head of marketing, Thailand, Google SEA, commented, “We set out to discover great examples of everyday people doing amazing things with the web in Thailand. We found some truly inspiring stories that we’re excited to share with the world, and we hope they inspire more people to share their own stories. Together, our better web experiences can help contribute to a better world.”

Focusing on people, the global campaign was launched in the United States last month. It allows people to share their stories and inspires more people to get online and change the world. It aims to open users’ eyes to how they can connect, inspire and impact the world via the power of the web.

It’s also an open invitation to get people online and using the web to its full potential by uploading videos, photos and text to Woodytalk.com/chrome.html.
