ESPN launches campaign for new Intel-sponsored show

SINGAPORE - ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) has launched a new on-air campaign, entitled ‘Speak your mind’, for the Intel-sponsored Monday Night Verdict programme.

Featuring Steve McMahon and Shebby Singh, the programme is one of the signature originals produced by ESS on key issues and topics related to football, known for its hard hitting and no-nonsense approach. Its illustrious talent line-up gives fans the opinionated and most informed verdict on the game.

Besides reflecting the core proposition, the campaign creates a platform for fans to connect with. It features a series of promos depicting the reality that many young people hold back from expressing their point of view and standing up for what they care about.

McMahon and Singh will encourage people to speak up and value their opinions – a belief and approach Monday Night Verdict espouses in how major football issues are discussed. The first part of the new campaign was launched on ESPN on 19 September.

Paras Sharma, vice president of marketing & corporate communications, said the ‘Speak your mind’ campaign reinforces and builds on the show’s core proposition.

“The creative campaign is part of a larger program through which we are launching many pertinent and engaging initiatives for sports fans,” he added.

McMahon, meanwhile, noted that Monday Night Verdict stands for expressing and embracing unique opinions about current events in the world of football.

“We are delighted to incorporate Speak Your Mind as a philosophy and call to action for the show, and look forward to further hearing from football fan about the issues they care about,” he said.
