EnergyAustralia hot-tub TVC is first splash in new campaign phase

AUSTRALIA - EnergyAustralia has launched a new TVC and print ads as it kicks of the next phase of its brand campaign, which sees its employees going to great lengths to get to know the utility's customers and their energy-usage habits.

wide player in 16:9 format. Used on article page for Campaign.

The new commercials follow the August launch of a rebranding spot that featured a 15-foot slingshot hurling the company's representatives out into the world to observe customers firsthand.

The campaign, which is being rolled out Australia-wide across TV, online, print, outdoor and cinemas,  features the energy company's employees popping up in a refrigerator and a hot tub, among other places. The aim is to show the company's interest in helping consumer save energy.

Leo Burnett Sydney is responsible for the whole campaign, including a new logo developed when TRUenergy acquired EnergyAustralia and chose to adopt the acquiree's identity.

The category is not one most people are excited about; they don't think about it except when the bill comes. So the challenge was to create work that people would notice and be entertained by, the agency stated.
