We Are Social has named Sophina Smith as its business director. She will work closely with the agency’s senior management to drive the agency’s continued growth in Asia.

She was most recently the account director at BBH, working across a wide range of sectors with clients such as Unilever brands Axe and Flora, Levi’s, NTUC Income and British Airways.

We Are Social has also appointed two new account managers––Farah Sidek, who joins from Edelman PR; as well as iCube’s Aimee Cyra Caparros––who relocated from the Philippines to Singapore for the role.

Sidek managed public relations campaigns across traditional and social media on both a local and global level at Edelman, with clients including BlackBerry, Facebook and MINDEF Nexus.

Caparros, meanwhile, previously worked across television production and publishing at iCube, Primer Media and ABS-CBN, where she focused on editorial, media relations and brand management.

In November, We Are Social brought in a series of senior executives from Ogilvy & Mather, Waggener Edstrom, Possible Worldwide and BBH.

Simon Kemp, managing director at We Are Social Singapore, noted that these three appointments further strengthen the agency’s offering, producing work for clients and fulfilling our new business objectives.

“Our clients will benefit from their creativity, insight and management skills, as will our current team,” he added.
