The pitch, which took place in November last year, also included the incumbent Media Palette, Media Drive and Mindshare.

Fun Town falls under the US-listed online entertainment company Giga, focusing on online mahjong and other casual games. The portal, previously owned by Acer, has been operating in the online gaming market for over 10 years in Taiwan and Southeast Asia. It was acquired by Giga in 2006.

Max Ling, GM of Vizeum Taiwan, said that the initial pitch brief was for a sales promotion, but his team managed to impress the client by providing solutions that could help rejuvenate the brand. Fun Town currently sits third in the market place following market leader 'Superbrand mahjong series'.

The target audience is office workers and housewives. The upcoming marketing campaigns will be mainly online and TV driven.

The client handed creative duties for Fun Town to a local Taiwanese agency following a pitch.

This marks Vizeum's first online gaming client.
