BANGKOK - The Tourism Authority of Thailand has launched a photography campaign, entitled 'Thailand at 5cm', through social media channels to energize the tourism industry in Thailand.

The campaign encourages tourists to explore the country in a new perspective and capture their wonderful moments from an ant’s eye-view angle at five centimeters above the ground, before sharing the images on the Discover Thailand Facebook page. This new campaign follows last year's 'Hearing the sunshine photography' campaign.

All participants will receive souvenirs delivered by post to their addresses, while weekly winners will win hotel vouchers from the InterContinental Hotels Group. The winners will be judged from users' votes. Votes are collected every Wednesday and winners are announced every Saturday.

The final week in February will see grand prizes of five inbound travel packages featuring roundtrip tickets from Bangkok Airways and hotel rooms from InterContinental Hotels Group.

The campaign has seen a significant increase of Facebook fans by more than four times within two months.
