Lee (pictured) will come on board on 2 January, based in Hong Kong. She will be setting up a new central marketing team for the company, overseeing China and Hong Kong.
Hang Lung Properties has extensive holdings in China, particularly in the shopping-mall category, with strong presence in cities including Shanghai, Shenyang, Wuhan, Tianjin, Wuxi, Jinan and Dalian. In Hong Kong, the company owns the Peak Galleria, Fashion Walk and Kornhill Plaza, among others.
Lee will report to Norman Ka Ngok Chan, director of leasing and sales, who was a client of Lee’s earlier in her career when she worked on the agency side.
This is not the first time that Lee has started a new division. Prior to K. Wah Group, she was head of marketing services for South China Morning Post for three years, leading a unit that the company created in 2009 to provide integrated advertising to clients.
On the 4A agency side, Lee served as MD for both M&C Saatchi and Leo Burnett Hong Kong earlier in her career. As an advertising exec, she helped launch several premium shopping malls in Hong Kong, including Element and IFC.
K. Wah Group is looking for a replacement.
