Standard Chartered calls 14-agency digital pitch in China

SHANGHAI - Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) is tipped to have invited 14 agencies including Grey, Blue Digital, Arkr Group and Rice5 for a digital pitch.

Standard Chartered calls 14-agency digital pitch in China

In August, SCB tapped Ogilvy & Mather to operate its social-media platforms in 17 markets: China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, UAE, Pakistan, Taiwan, Korea, Kenya, Nigeria, Bahrain, Thailand, Vietnam and Bangladesh.

It is understood that the bank is calling the new pitch in China to execute a continued strategy across digital and mobile channels that relates with its current brand proposition “Here for Good”.

Annual billings are reportedly around RMB1.5 million (US$243,000).

The move is not expected to affect the bank's relationships with other agencies, including TBWA and CMRS Digital.
