Jeffreys (pictured) will be responsible for the flow of all editorial content from line-up creation to final proof stage with sign-off on all editorial pages. He will be managing a team of editors and ensuring the editorial budget of Hong Kong Tatler and Macau Tatler is translated into high-quality content.

Jeffreys reports directly to Edipresse Hong Kong's editor-in-chief, Sean Fitzpatrick.

Jeffreys was most recently the magazines editor at the South China Morning Post for three years, working on its Post and Style magazines. SCMP is still looking for a replacement

During his time at the SCMP, Jeffreys produced groundbreaking stories, including high-profile interviews with LVMH Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, Donatella Versace, Diego Della Valle and Steve Wynn.

Jeffreys, who has lived in Asia since 2006, brings to Hong Kong Tatler and Macau Tatler an exceptional range of contacts in Asian high society and the international luxury goods industry.

His journalism experience spans two decades including 12 years in New York working for the BBC, London Daily Mail, US and UK Marie Claire, US Cosmopolitan, the London Times and the Daily Telegraph.

"Jeffreys' fine stewardship of Post magazine is evidence of his journalistic talent, while his strong luxury industry contacts make him a perfect fit for Tatler," Fitzpatrick says. "With Daniel as managing editor, I am confident that Tatler will continue to dominate as the city's top high society and luxury lifestyle magazine."

Since its launch in March 1977, Hong Kong Tatler has been the city's leading high society and luxury lifestyle magazine.
