Ciclope Asia, a festival focusing on film craft, made its debut in Tokyo on Saturday, with judges awarding a total of 14 pieces of work out of around 200 entries.
The Grand Prix went to ‘Stop the Horror’, a film for Go Gentle Australia, an NPO that aims to relieve the suffering of terminally ill people and their families. It was produced by Revolver/Will O’Rourke, with the concept developed by Cummins & Partners.
The winners were also named production company of the year and agency of the year respectively.
Umma Saini, creative lead for Google India, and Takeshi Takada, co-founder and executive producer of Alt.vfx, led the jury, which was a mixture of producers, directors and agency creatives from around the world.

Ciclope began in Argentina in 2010. Its main event is now held in Berlin, while regional events take place in Mexico and South Africa as well as Japan.
