He last helmed the ECD position from 2003 to 2010 before heading to Jakarta to be chief creative officer, a senior advisory role at Dentsu Indonesia. It is understood that he had a specific task to fulfill there, and now that the task is completed, he is coming back to the Singapore office in the same capacity as when he left.

Reporting directly to president and CEO Anthony Kang, Pereira will continue where he left off as ECD, leading the creative output for Canon in the region, as well as working with the new business team on new opportunities.

“Tony has always been known for his insights-driven creative work, which has delivered tremendously well with our roster of clients,” Kang said. “We are pleased to welcome the Tony 2.0 version back into our team.”

Pereira previously worked at agencies such as Leo Burnett, Euro RSCG and McCann Erickson.
