HONG KONG - Michelle Toy, formerly head of marketing and communications for the securities services business at BNP Paribas, has joined Australia-based NAB as head of marketing and corporate affairs.

Toy replaces Amy Johnson, who has repatriated back to Australia, according to the company.

Toy will remain based in Hong Kong, where she began the new role on 15 August. She will oversee a marketing and corporate affairs team based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia with overall responsibility for the NAB International branches in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Japan, India, UK and US, as well as representative offices in Vietnam and Indonesia. She will bring strategic marketing expertise and "greater momentum" to NAB’s "goal of creating a simpler, more customer-focused organisation", according to the company.

Toy has more than 10 years of marketing experience in banking, including stints at JP Morgan, Nomura Securities and State Street.  She is a member of Campaign Asia-Pacific's 2016 Women to Watch.

Last year, Toy spoke with Campaign Asia-Pacific at the Financial Services Marketing (FSM) conference in Hong Kong (below). This year's FSM is slated for 10 November, also in Hong Kong.
